Caretaker - Kirkwood Hall, Leyburn, 12hrs Per Week

Caretaker / Handyperson - 2 days per week Contract: Permanent Hours: Part time (2 days per week - 6 hours per day) We have an opportunity available for a part time Caretaker / Handyperson to join our team to provide efficient and effective caretaker support to the scheme/establishment including ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards and that systems operate at optimum efficiency. The role You''ll maintaining the efficient running of scheme operations through the premises and its contents, opening and opening and closing premises (gates, doors, windows) or the purpose of resident''s use, room lettings, maintenance and emergency services. You''ll conduct health and safety throughout, making sure emergency exits are kept clear and alarms tests are carried out, reporting any issues and documenting all inspections. As part of your responsibilities, you will monitor systems and functions, including regular checks of heating systems, water temperatures and replace lamps / bulbs and domestic fuses. You will maintain records for repairs and heating systems, reporting all defects and malfunctions. Your main responsibilities will include: To remove waste bags from designated bin stores and other localities to central bin collection areas. To ensure bin areas are kept clean and tidy.
