Supply Heroes are working in partnership with Lacon Childe School to recruit a reliable and proactive Site Assistant / Caretaker. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive team, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
HOURS: 10am-6pm
37 Hours Per Week
You will play an essential role in the daily upkeep and security of the school, assisting with general maintenance, health and safety checks, and ensuring the premises are well-presented at all times.
Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the school site

Ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times

Opening and closing the school buildings, setting alarms, and locking up

Conducting regular health and safety checks and reporting issues promptly

Setting up rooms and facilities for lessons, assemblies, and events
-
Supporting with cleaning duties when required

Monitoring site security and managing deliveries

Assisting with emergency call-outs when necessary
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a caretaking, site management, or maintenance role (preferred)

Basic DIY and maintenance skills

Good understanding of health and safety regulations
-
Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to work independently

A positive attitude and pride in keeping the school environment in excellent condition
