Caretaker

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Caretaker to work with an education provider in the Blackburn area. The incoming candidate will work 37 hours per week (Mon - Fri) on a split shift between 7:15am - 6:5pm, covering the opening and locking up of the facilities each day. The incoming Caretaker will provide essential support in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Working closely with the Site Manager and wider facilities team, this role ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of the buildings and grounds. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of school buildings and grounds Carry out minor repairs, routine checks, and preventative maintenance tasks Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting any issues promptly Support the setup and breakdown of school events, activities, and classroom arrangements Assist with security measures, including monitoring access and reporting any concerns Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other facilities resources Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and students Work collaboratively with the Site Manager, caretakers, and other staff to ensure a safe and functional school environment Essential Criteria: Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or caretaking roles Competent in carrying out basic DIY or maintenance Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to ..... full job details .....
