Full-Time School Caretaker - Gravesend

Location: Gravesend
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Pay: -15+ per hour

Academics are currently recruiting for a full-time School Caretaker to join a friendly and supportive school in Gravesend. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Caretaker, Site Assistant, or Facilities Operative looking for a long-term role within a school environment.

• Opening, securing, and maintaining the school site
• Carrying out general caretaker duties, including basic maintenance and minor repairs
• Completing routine health & safety and site inspections
• Supporting with room setups for school events and activities
• Ensuring the school grounds remain clean, safe, and well maintained
• Assisting staff with ad-hoc site-related tasks
• Liaising with contractors and visitors where required

• Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Assistant, Facilities Operative, or similar role (preferred)
• A practical, proactive, and reliable approach
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
