Part-Time School Caretaker - DartfordLocation: Dartford Hours: Monday to Friday, Afternoons (20 hours per week) Pay: 15+ per hourAcademics are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school in Dartford. This Caretaker position is a part-time afternoon role, ideal for an experienced Caretaker or someone with previous site, facilities, or maintenance experience looking to work within a school environment.Key Responsibilities of the Caretaker Role:Opening, securing, and maintaining the school siteCarrying out general caretaker duties, including basic maintenance and minor repairsCompleting routine health and safety and site inspectionsSetting up rooms and school spaces for after-school clubs and activitiesEnsuring the school grounds remain clean, safe, and well maintainedSupporting school staff with ad-hoc site-related tasksLiaising with contractors and visitors when requiredThe Ideal Caretaker Will Have:Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Assistant, Facilities Operative, or in a similar role (preferred)A practical, reliable, and proactive approachGood understanding of health and safety proceduresAbility to work independently and use initiativeEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain oneThis is an excellent opportunity for a Caretaker seeking consistent part-time afternoon hours within a supportive primary school environment. ..... full job details .....
