The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As a Careers Adviser, you’ll provide impartial, high-quality advice and guidance to adults exploring their next steps in work or education. Your day-to-day will include:

• Building strong links with job centres, community organisations, and referral partners
• Promoting a wide range of funded programmes (vocational, digital, security, and functional skills)
• Checking learner eligibility and maintaining compliance with funding requirements
• Offering personalised careers advice to match learners with the right course or pathway
• Providing wraparound support before and after enrolment to help learners stay engaged
• Working closely with delivery teams to ensure a smooth learner journey and sustained success

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Experience in careers advice, employability, IAG, or community engagement
• A track record of supporting adult learners, including unemployed or inactive individuals
• Strong listening, communication, and organisational skills
• A passion for widening participation and making education accessible
• (Desirable) Knowledge of eligibility and compliance in funded learning
