Job Title: Care Events Coordinator Salary: £15,736 (pro-rata of full time equivalent £26,228) Team: Care Events Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hours Contract Type: Permanent Location: Shooting Star House, Hampton and Christopher''s, Guildford , 1LP GU3 About the role Your key purpose will be to coordinate and deliver a varied programme of events, groups and activities for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, their families and bereaved families. Working as part of the Care Events Team within Psychosocial Services, you will help create opportunities for families to make memories, build connections and access support in welcoming and inclusive environments. You will take ownership of agreed events from planning through to delivery, evaluation and follow-up, coordinating logistics, communications, venues, suppliers, volunteers and resources to ensure activities are safe, engaging and delivered to a high standard. You will also play an important role in helping children, young people and families feel welcomed, supported and included throughout their experience. Alongside the wider events programme, you will maintain a regular presence at Christopher''s hospice, working with multidisciplinary colleagues to plan and facilitate meaningful daily activities for children and young people during their stays.
