Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

Job Description:

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help and assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding. Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Responsibilities include:

Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing

Serving food or assisting with eating

Making and changing beds

Turning patients to prevent pressure sores

Talking to patients to reduce anxiety

Assisting patients with mobility

Helping with toileting needs

Maintaining tidiness of wards or homes

Managing supplies and equipment

Experience with mobility aids and escorting patients in hospitals may be required. Opportunities for training and involvement in induction for new staff are available.
