Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet, and support them with medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.Helping clients overcome mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including assisting with aids, adaptations, and personal equipment.Assisting with domestic tasks such as making beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.Supporting clients with personal care such as washing, bathing, and toileting.Helping with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, and assisting with feeding if required.Administering medication and assisting with medication management.Job Description
Additional tasks you''ll help with include:Providing companionship to prevent loneliness through conversations, activities, and outings.Supporting personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, with respect for dignity and privacy.Managing medication routines, including collecting prescriptions and providing reminders.Preparing nutritious meals considering dietary needs and assisting with feeding when necessary.Maintaining a clean and tidy home environment, including light cleaning, laundry, and tidying.Assisting with mobility, including transfers, walking support, and use of mobility aids.Monitoring health and reporting changes to healthcare professionals and family.Encouraging social inclusion and participation in community activities.Providing emotional support and reassurance.Keeping accurate records of care and incidents.Ensuring safety and responding to emergencies.Collaborating effectively with care team members, healthcare professionals, and families.Qualifications
What you''ll need (besides a cape and superpowers!)We value your heart of gold and kindness over formal experience. You should be resilient, eager to learn, and committed to respectful care. Prior experience isn''t necessary, but compassion, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
