OverviewRole details for a Cards Solution Architect focusing on payments, cards systems and enterprise architecture integration.

Responsibilities

Need associate with prior exp in Cards and Payments domain knowledge, including cards issuance and authorization journeys.

Good to have banking and Cards secured lending work exp.

Cards migration work is an added advantage.

Responsible for understanding the various requirements with respect to the payments/cards systems, design and provide detailed solution design with the stipulated nonfunctional requirements in place.

Should create technical solution to specific business problems and requirements within the company’s business strategy and considering the company’s Enterprise Architecture roadmap.

Present tactical and strategic options architecture and solution to senior management.

Manage and review application, data and technology components and building blocks from enterprise architecture perspective.

Essential skills

A good understanding of the Payments, Card Issuing and Acquiring message and transaction flows and must have experience of integrating in-house applications with the 3rd party Fintechs or vice-versa.

Must have the domain knowledge of the working of Card Issuing and Acquiring including gateways, ATM and Switch

Must have Understanding on the ISO8583, MT and MX messages

Must Have working knowledge Defining API Specification for REST or Web Services

Must have knowledge of API and Interface governances, design standards and principles

Must have experience to transform the user journey and experience with the help of latest technologies

Should have knowledge in Cloud Deployments

Should have experience to evaluate the technology partners and define their KPIs.

Managing the life cycle of solutions, undertaking technology watch and developing proofs of concept for Payments and Cards systems.

Good To have

TOGAF and specifically the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) provide very good guidelines and best practices to architects, implement architectures within organizations.

"Requirements Management" circle at the centre of the ADM graphic, the ADM is continuously driven by the requirements management process.
