Capital Works Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Capital Works Manager to lead the delivery of major planned, capital and investment works programmes. This is a senior management role with responsibility for leading a team of surveyors and ensuring that major works projects are effectively planned, procured, managed and delivered to a high standard. You will provide strong leadership and professional direction to the team, while maintaining a clear focus on performance, value for money, quality and customer outcomes. You will take a lead role in managing major works contracts, working closely with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with contractual and quality requirements. Key responsibilities Lead, manage and develop a team of surveyors responsible for delivering planned and capital works programmes. Provide effective leadership, direction and professional support to ensure the team delivers consistently high standards. Oversee the planning, programming and delivery of major works and investment programmes. Provide senior-level contract management, ensuring contractors meet their contractual obligations, programme milestones and performance requirements. Monitor contractor performance and take appropriate action where standards, timescales or contractual requirements are not being met.
