This is a specialist opportunity to lead on capital accounting, fixed asset management, CAPEX reporting and capital planning across a growing Multi Academy Trust. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Estates Team, Central Finance and Business Partnering Team, the successful candidate will support strong stewardship of public funds and informed decision-making across the Trust''s capital and estates activity.Key responsibilities of the Capital Accountant will includeLead on fixed asset and capital accounting matters across the TrustMaintain and develop the Trust-wide fixed asset registerEnsure assets are correctly capitalised, depreciated, impaired, transferred or disposed ofProduce fixed asset disclosures and supporting schedules for statutory accounts and auditDevelop and enhance capital reporting, including month-end CAPEX reportingTake responsibility for the annual capital budget and rolling CAPEX forecastTrack capital project performance against budgets, forecasts and funding conditionsSupport School Condition Allocation funding monitoring and reportingLead asset verification and support the implementation of a new ..... full job details .....
