Capital Accountant

With an ambitious capital programme and a strong focus on long-term financial sustainability, this organisation is seeking an experienced finance professional to provide specialist expertise and strategic leadership across capital finance. Your new role Reporting to the senior finance leadership team, you will act as the organisation''s technical lead for capital finance, providing expert financial advice, challenge and analysis to support strategic decision-making and major investment programmes. This is a high-profile role with responsibility for leading all aspects of capital accounting and capital programme management, ensuring the organisation maintains a robust capital finance framework and remains fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements. As the subject-matter expert for the Prudential Code, Capital Financing Requirement (CFR), Minimum Revenue Provision (MRP), borrowing and capital financing, you will provide specialist guidance to senior leaders and key stakeholders on significant capital projects, business cases and investment decisions. You will develop and maintain the Capital Strategy, support long-term financial planning, strengthen capital reporting, governance and financial controls, and deliver complex financial modelling and option appraisals.
