CAM Machinist

Bennett and Game Recruitment are representing a leading advanced manufacturing business looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their growing team base in North-West London.You will be responsible for programming, setting, and running advanced CNC machines to produce high-precision components for aerospace, defence, energy, and robotics customers.This is a hands-on role with full ownership of the machining process, from CAM programming and prove-out to cycle time improvement and repeat production.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and optimise CNC toolpaths (3-axis, 5-axis and mill-turn where applicable)Set, prove-out and run jobs to high aerospace and defence standardsImprove cycle times and machine efficiencyDesign and improve fixturing methodsSelect tooling and cutting data for materials including aluminium, steel, titanium and InconelMaintain high quality standards and first-time-right productionSupport new part introduction from drawing to productionWork with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and automationRequirementsStrong CAM programming experience (Fusion, Hypermill, Mastercam or similar)Experience machining to tight tolerances ( 0.01mm and below)Background using high-end CNC machines such as Hermle, DMG Mori or MazakStrong knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds and workholdingAble to read complex engineering drawings and GDandTAerospace, defence or precision engineering experience preferredDesirable5-axis machining ..... full job details .....
