Health, Vision, Dental, and Life InsurancePosition SummaryAbrazar Inc., in collaboration with other OC agencies under First 5 OC, is expanding home visiting services in Orange County to underserved populations to improve maternal, paternal, and child health outcomes. This will be achieved using the

Parents as Teachers

model or a combination of the

Healthy Families America

(HFA) model with the

Parents as Teachers (PAT)

curriculum. The Home Visitor partners with parents to provide guidance and coaching at home, including assessments, screenings, and education on child development. The program also supports families in connecting with community resources.The Program Director manages daily site operations, including planning, budgeting, staffing, training, quality assurance, and evaluation. They collaborate with community and state partners, handle public relations, and maintain positive relationships with early childhood providers. The Director acts as a liaison, monitors contracts, and oversees program development. They lead the team, conduct meetings, and provide support and crisis management. The team includes 5 PAT Parent Educators and 2 HFA Family Support Specialists.Position ResponsibilitiesReflective Supervision:

Provides weekly supervision to staff, supporting their professional development and maintaining program integrity. HFA requires monthly supervision with the Program Manager; PAT requires 2 hours monthly for home visitors.Networking and Outreach:

Attends community events, resource fairs, and collaborates with partners. Co-leads the Community Advisory Board. Caseloads range from 12-15 families for HFA and 18 families for PAT.Data and Program Quality Review:

Utilizes platforms like Teams, Outlook, Visit Tracker, Bridges Connect, and OC Children’s Registry to maintain documentation, referrals, and assessments. Prepares monthly reports for First5 OC.Schedule:

Standard hours are M-F 8AM-4:30PM in-office. Some evening or Saturday events may be required. Remote work is not an option due to federal funding.Travel:

Reliable vehicle required for travel to meetings and outreach. Mileage reimbursement provided.Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in public health, human services, or related fields, or bachelor’s with 3+ years relevant experience, or comparable HFA experience.At least five years of experience working with families and community outreach.Experience managing diverse staff with humility and in quality assurance and improvement.Strong communication skills, self-motivated, adaptable, culturally sensitive, and experienced in working with institutions.Required:Bilingual in Spanish and English (testing required).Organizational and communication skills, knowledge of child development, valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.Must verify employment eligibility, obtain CPR/First Aid, and complete TB test, background, and drug screening.Physical, Mental, and Environmental DemandsAbility to stand, walk, sit, and perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting over 50 pounds.Effective communication, mobility, and reasoning skills required for daily tasks and driving.This description reflects essential functions and may change.
