Call Handler/Administrator - Apprenticeship Opportunity

Overview
A Vacancy at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.Due to the continued expansion of the Single Point of Access team, the Physical Health and Neurodiversity Care Group is looking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic call handlers within the team. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours).Successful candidates will support a large number of multi-disciplinary services, including mental health, physical health and neurodiversity. The role involves working a 24-hour rota to ensure effective service delivery.An apprenticeship option is available for applicants who do not yet hold a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject, with the opportunity to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification relevant to the role.
Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for service users and other professionals, providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced office environment.Handle a high volume of telephone calls, some of which may be challenging or emotive; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing demands and priorities.Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly to support service delivery.Utilise PC software including Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel; SystmOne experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Qualifications and Requirements
Desirable: good standard of education (5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics at Grade C or above or equivalent).Experience in a call handling environment or NHS experience is advantageous.Desirable: experience in a NHS setting; however training will be provided.Desirable: ability to work in an office-based role with potential agile/home working.Desirable: Level 2 qualification or equivalent; if not held, eligibility for Level 2 apprenticeship alongside role.
Apprenticeship Details
As an apprentice within RDaSH you will gain experience, learn work-related skills, and receive the tools needed to thrive. An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation, with around 20% of working hours spent training or studying, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.
