Calibration Manager

In this role, you will be the technical authority for your assigned discipline, keeping our testing equipment running accurately, driving UKAS accreditation growth, leading external audits (ISO 17020 / ISO 9001), and developing new lab capabilities. What You''ll Do Ensure Technical Excellence: Maintain, calibrate, and validate test equipment while ensuring all work meets ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 standards. Lead Accreditation and Audits: Serve as the technical lead for UKAS and external audits, working closely with the Quality Manager. Develop and Train: Authorise signatory competence for staff, write and validate new calibration methods, and build operational calculation tools (Excel). Drive Capability: Identify gaps, build new internal testing capabilities, and deliver quarterly growth reports. Maintain Quality and Safety: Manage lab safety risk assessments, equipment traceability, non-conformance investigations, and environmental monitoring. What We''re Looking For Experience: 5+ years working within a recognised inspection or testing environment. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ISO 17020 and ISO 9001 standards; UKAS laboratory management experience is a plus. ..... full job details .....
