As part of AWE''s Nucleonic Instrumentation Service (NIS) Team, you''ll play a pivotal role as one of the team''s Calibrators which underpins the core function of capability delivery. You will enjoy a flexible and wide-ranging role that will include core tasks of instrument calibration, testing and verification of radiation detection and monitoring equipment (RDME), as well as supporting wider functions within the team. The NIS capability provides through-life support for the MOD''s suite of RDME. This is delivered via 3 core functions: Logistics, Calibration and Repair, operating three dose-rate calibration rooms, a contamination calibration lab and a dynamic test facility, processing approximately 8,000 instruments through the facility every year.
