Calibration EngineerBirminghamUp to £20 per hour (DOE)39 hours per week (Early finish Fridays)PermanentWe are currently looking to expand our Calibration / Metrology team and are seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer to join a well-established and highly regarded precision engineering environment in Birmingham.This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and working to the highest standards within dimensional calibration.The RoleAs a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out precise dimensional measurements and calibrations using a range of high-accuracy equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring all instruments meet required standards and specifications.You will be working with equipment capable of measuring to 0.001 mm (1 micron) and below, including:Slip Gauges (Block Gauges)MicrometersFloating Carriage Micrometers (FCM)Universal Length Measuring (ULM) instrumentsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform calibration and measurement of precision instrumentsMaintain accurate records in line with quality standardsEnsure all work is carried out in accordance with calibration proceduresIdentify and report any inconsistencies or non-conformancesSupport continuous improvement within the calibration processWhat We''re Looking ForProven experience in dimensional calibration or precision measurementStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to workExcellent hand-eye coordination and ability ..... full job details .....
