CAD Technician Location: Near Melton Mowbray hybrid working Employment type: Permanent, full-time Salary: Negotiable depending on experience The Opportunity An established engineering business specialising in bespoke mechanical equipment and bulk material handling systems is looking to appoint a mechanically biased CAD Technician. This is a hybrid position, typically requiring three days per week at the company s new combined office and manufacturing facility near Melton Mowbray. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for bespoke equipment used across the water, wastewater, recycling, bioenergy, food processing and industrial sectors. It is a varied opportunity where you will be able to see designs progress from initial concepts and detailed drawings through to fabrication, assembly and installation. Key Responsibilities as a CAD Technician: Producing accurate 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD Creating and modifying 3D mechanical models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor Preparing fabrication, manufacturing and assembly drawings Producing general arrangement drawings and detailed component drawings Working from engineering specifications, calculations, sketches and existing designs Supporting the design of bespoke conveyors, hoppers, silos, support structures and associated mechanical equipment Producing bills of materials and supporting documentation where required Liaising closely with ..... full job details .....
