CAD Engineer (CATIA)

Are you an experienced CAD Engineer with strong CATIA skills designing:

• Chassis
• Suspension
• Braking
• Steering
• Powertrain - Transmission, Gearboxes, Axles
• Heavy vehicle
• Defence vehicles
• Aerospace structures

Our client, a specialist manufacturer is building a team to support an exciting new programme and is looking to connect with talented CAD Engineers.

Location: Cwmbran, South Wales

Contract: 6 months

 Travel: Some UK travel will be required

You'll be working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, developing high-quality CAD models and supporting the delivery of innovative automotive engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CATIA
• Produce engineering documentation to a high standard
• Work closely with design, manufacturing and project teams
• Support engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle
• Ensure designs meet customer and project requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

• Strong CATIA experience
• Previous experience within the automotive or aerospace sector designing loaded, safety- critical mechanical components with durability and fatigue testing
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
