CAD Layout DesignerLocation: Rochester, KentHours: 7.00am - 3:30pmWe are seeking a skilled CAD Layout Designer to join a busy operations team within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in transforming approved designs into accurate, detailed manufacturing drawings that support CNC punching, brake press and welding assembly processes.The RoleYou will be responsible for producing detailed sheet metal component drawings and preparing layouts for efficient factory manufacturing. Working closely with production and RandD teams, you will help ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable and optimised for material usage.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce detailed sheet metal component drawings from approved layoutsProgramme and nest parts for CNC punching, ensuring minimal material wastePrepare drawings to support folding, assembly and welding processesEnsure all input information is correct to enable smooth downstream manufacturingUse CAD and CNC software packages efficiently and accuratelySupport continuous improvement initiatives alongside the RandD functionAssist with the development and introduction of new product designsAbout YouAble to confidently read and interpret technical drawingsProficient in AutoCADExperience using SolidWorks and 3D modelling toolsGood understanding of CNC punch programmingWorking knowledge of brake press processesStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsWilling and able to learn new software packages ..... full job details .....
