CAD Designer (Fire Detection and Protection)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Designer to join a well-established and growing fire detection and protection specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in fire alarm and emergency lighting system design, looking to play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant solutions across a range of commercial and industrial projects.Job Title: CAD Designer (Fire Detection and Protection)Location: Remote working, with occasional travel to the Reading officeSalary: Up to £70,000 DOEKey ResponsibilitiesProduce detailed CAD drawings, layouts and schematics for fire detection and fire protection systemsDesign systems in accordance with current British Standards and client specificationsEnsure all designs are fully compliant with relevant legislation and industry best practiceSupport projects from initial concept through to installation and final handoverLiaise with project managers, engineers, surveyors and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycleReview and amend existing drawings to reflect design changes and site requirementsPrepare and maintain accurate technical documentationProvide technical support to installation and commissioning teams where requiredAssist in developing and improving design processes and standardsSkills and ExperienceMust have experience designing in accordance with BS5839, BS5266 and BS7671Proven experience as a CAD Designer or Design Engineer within the Fire Detection and ..... full job details .....
