CAD Designer

Our Client is a leading provider in the transport and logistics sector, specialising in the manutacture of tankers. They are Recruting for a skilled 2D CAD Engineer to join their dynamic team. Position Overview As a 2D CAD Engineer at Lakeland Tankers, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our tanker products. You will be responsible for producing detailed 2D CAD drawings, collaborating with various departments to ensure that our designs meet both industry standards and client specifications. Responsibilites Create and modify 2D CAD drawings for tanker designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop Bill of Materials (BOM) for various projects. Apply your knowledge of dangerous goods, ADR regulations, and HGV standards to enhance design safety and functionality. Integrate electrical and mechanical considerations into design processes to ensure comprehensive engineering solutions. Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in design reviews and providing feedback on design methodologies. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in 2D CAD design, preferably within the transport or logistics sector. Proven experience with HGV standards and regulations. Demonstrated ability in creating detailed BOMs for engineering projects. Knowledge of dangerous goods, ADR regulations, and tanker design principles.
