CAD Design Manager

Macildowie Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics CAD Design Manager - Up to £65,000 Per Annum + Car Allowance Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm Macildowie has exclusively partnered with a manufacturing business in Stafford to recruit a CAD Design Manager. The key objective is to lead an established in-house design team responsible for developing and mentoring team members, improving design processes, driving standardisation and automation. Main Responsibilities Lead and manage the Design Team, overseeing priorities, workload, performance, development, resource planning and delivery of project outputs. Drive the continuous development of the Design function through improved processes, new technologies, standardised solutions and continuous improvement initiatives. Act as the primary point of escalation for technical queries, providing guidance and support to the Design Team. Drive design automation and standardisation across the function. Review and approve design packs prior to submission to clients. Develop practical solutions for non-standard applications, working collaboratively with internal departments and external partners. Coordinate with internal teams and external specialists to ensure structural calculations, wind load assessments and other compliance documentation are completed where required.
