Cable Manufacturing Technician

Cable Manufacturing Technician Location: Newton Abbot Contract: Fixed-term / Temporary Duration: December 2026 - April 2027 We are looking for a hands-on Cable Manufacturing Technician to support a bespoke metal coating line within a specialist manufacturing environment. This role will involve working closely with engineering and production teams, following defined process flows and providing practical feedback from the production floor. Key Responsibilities - Support the preparation of cable cores prior to processing. - Carry out incoming checks on materials and components. - Support packing and shipping activities in line with defined travellers and procedures. - Assist operators during cable coating line runs. - Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process. - Record and document non-conformances using the company''s issue-tracking system. - Maintain equipment calibration records. - Monitor and manage consumables used within the production area. - Follow engineering-defined process instructions accurately. - Provide feedback to engineering teams on production and process issues. - Maintain a high standard of accuracy, quality and housekeeping within the work area.
