Cable Jointer

We are seeking an experienced Cable Jointer to support ongoing electrical infrastructure projects across the North West. This role involves working on LV and/or HV networks, carrying out jointing, termination, and fault repair works to a high standard.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience working under AWP03 or AWP04 authorisations, ensuring compliance with DNO procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cable jointing and terminations on LV and/or HV networks
• Work on new connections, maintenance, and fault repairs
• Interpret network drawings, schematics, and job packs
• Ensure all work complies with DNO specifications and safety regulations
• Complete relevant documentation and test records accurately
• Work collaboratively with site teams, supervisors, and project managers
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cable Jointer within the UK utilities sector
• AWP03 or AWP04 authorisation (current or previously held)
• Experience working on LV and/or 11kV networks
• Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent)
• Valid CSCS/ECS card
• Strong understanding of DNO procedures and safety standards
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience working on 132kV networks
• Additional DNO authorisations (e.g. SAP, Competent Person)
• Confined space training
• Experience with fault location and testing
