About the Role
The C2 Bin Lorry Driver position in Edinburgh requires a qualified operator to manage waste collection routes across the city. This full-time temporary role offers a pay rate between £16.30 and £17.61 per hour, with shifts available on a 4-on-4-off pattern (06:00-17:02) or Tuesday to Friday (06:00-16:45), including a 45-minute unpaid break. The successful candidate will safely operate a C2 vehicle, collect waste and recyclables for disposal, perform routine vehicle checks, and maintain customer service standards. A valid HGV C2 licence, CPC qualification, and Digital Tachograph card are essential. Immediate starts are available for this ongoing contract with Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an C2 bin lorry on designated routes within Edinburgh.
- Collect and transport waste and recyclables to disposal and recycling facilities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public.
- Valid HGV C2 (Class 2) licence.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
