Buyer Subcontract and MaterialsBased in Sunbury-on-ThamesDay rate / Salary: Negotiable, Paying via LTD Company The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a leading construction and infrastructure business, supporting projects within the environmental sector. This opportunity can be considered on either a contract or permanent basis, with the rate/package negotiable depending on experience. The role will focus on the procurement of subcontract services, materials and products across a range of projects, working closely with project, commercial and delivery teams. Responsibilities: Develop and manage project procurement plansProcure subcontract packages, materials and servicesPrepare scopes of work and tender documentationCarry out commercial and technical tender evaluationsNegotiate with suppliers and subcontractorsPrepare and issue purchase orders and subcontract agreementsManage procurement activities against programme and budgetMonitor supplier and subcontractor performanceResolve commercial and contractual issuesDevelop strong supply chain relationshipsSupport project and pre-construction teamsIdentify cost savings and procurement efficiencies Requirements: Previous purchasing, procurement or supply chain experienceConstruction, civil engineering, infrastructure or water sector experience preferredStrong subcontract and materials procurement experienceGood commercial and contractual awarenessStrong negotiation and supplier management ..... full job details .....
