Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Kent based client to recruit for a Buyer. The role:You will be tasked with taking ownership of the full purchasing process from receipt of order to delivery into my client. This will involve the management of suppliers, cost negotiation, and management of inventory. Key responsibilities:Process and expediating of ordersWork with suppliers to ensure no shortages or delays in ordersMonitoring of supplier performanceNegotiate and identify cost savingsAssist with sourcing of new suppliers Skills and Experience:2-5 years'' experience in a Purchasing role from a manufacturing environmentKnowledge and experience of working with an MRP/ERP systemGood numeracy skillsExperience of negotiationStrong computer skills including Excel 52182DHINDPROThe Portfolio Group are acting on behalf of our client in recruiting for this position. ..... full job details .....
