BuyerOngoing Temporary RoleNewportIsle of Wight Temporary Full-Time 18 per hourPertemps Isle of Wight are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, based in Newport, who are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis.This is a great opportunity for an experienced purchasing or procurement professional to join a busy team and play an important role in ensuring materials and components are available when required.The RoleAs a Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing parts and materials, managing purchase orders and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure requirements are met in terms of quality, cost and lead times.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and administer purchase orders in line with internal requirements.Identify purchasing requirements based on production schedules and forecasts.Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.Obtain quotations and support internal teams with purchasing requirements.Expedite existing orders and proactively monitor supplier deliveries.Monitor and adjust delivery schedules to ensure materials are available when required.Provide regular updates on outstanding orders to internal stakeholders.Assist with the resolution of non-conforming parts received from suppliers.Work in accordance with internal processes and procedures.Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.Support internal auditing activities.Assist with other duties ..... full job details .....
