Buyer - Exciting Opportunity in a Growing Manufacturing EnvironmentWe are seeking an experienced Buyer to join us on a 3 month contract, taking responsibility for the sourcing and procurement of key raw materials and components. This is a great opportunity to play an important role in ensuring a reliable supply chain, competitive pricing, and strong supplier performance within a manufacturing environment. What We OfferSalary to 50,000 - Pro rata Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned commoditiesSource suppliers and manage RFQsConduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor trendsNegotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial termsDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationshipsMonitor supplier performance and drive improvementsResolve supply issues and escalate risks where requiredSupport Production, Quality, and Planning teamsSource components for new product developmentMaintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systemsTrack KPIs and provide cost analysis and forecastsSkills and ExperienceEssential:Proven experience in the purchasing of raw materials gained in a manufacturing environment.Strong negotiation and supplier management skillsMust have experience working with a global supplier baseAbility to analyse data and market trendsExperience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft ExcelGood communication and problem-solving skillsDesirable:CIPS qualification (or working towards it)Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous ..... full job details .....
