An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer to join an established manufacturing business, managing a portfolio of suppliers and supporting the procurement of production materials and services. The role will combine day-to-day purchasing with supplier management, commercial improvement projects and supply chain risk mitigation.Client DetailsOur client is an established UK manufacturing and engineering business operating within a technically complex and fast-paced environment. With a strong focus on quality, innovation and continuous improvement, the business designs and manufactures specialist products while working with an extensive supply base to support its operations.DescriptionAs the Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, goods and services while managing a portfolio of suppliers and ensuring requirements are delivered in line with business needs. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a portfolio of suppliers and raising purchase orders based on MRP requirements.Ensuring the on-time delivery of materials and expediting purchase orders where required.Developing strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Supporting competitive tenders, sourcing activity and commercial improvement projects.Identifying supply chain risks and working with the wider team to mitigate potential disruption.Supporting new supplier onboarding and supplier transitions.Resolving supplier issues relating to delivery, pricing and commercial ..... full job details .....
