Buyer - Materials/Plant

We are working with a renowned construction company in the West Yorkshire area who have an opportunity for a Buyer to join their business. The role is office based and the individual will have previous experience of Plant and Materials buying within the construction industry.

Role/Duties/Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships.
• Monitor inventory and ensure stock availability.
• Collaborate with Site and Project managers to ensure procurement meets project deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and expenditures.
• Work with suppliers and plant hire organisations
• good knowledge of pricing withing the construction industry
• excellent organisational skills
• ability to work to deadlines
• Assisting commercial team with pricing schedules
