A proven defence organisation, are seeking an experienced Buyer to work within an established procurement and supply chain function and support on key projects.Role: BuyerDuration: 7-9 month contractPay: Up to 26 p/hr (Inside IR35)Location: Yeovil (Fully onsite for first few weeks before moving to 1 day per week)In this role, you''ll be responsible for managing purchase requisitions, raising purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, resolving order-related issues, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials and services to support operational requirements.Key Responsibilities:Process purchase requisitions accurately and efficientlyCreate, issue and manage purchase orders through SAPMonitor supplier acknowledgements and delivery commitmentsResolve ordering, invoicing and delivery-related issuesWork closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Finance and Supply Chain teamsEscalate commercial or contractual matters to the appropriate procurement specialistsSupport supplier performance and on-time delivery activitiesMaintain accurate procurement records and system dataAssist with spot-buy activities, RFQs and supplier communications where requiredThis is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to join a busy purchasing team, supporting key projects through to early 2027.Key Requirements:Experience in aerospace, defence, engineering or manufacturing environmentsStrong working knowledge of SAPExcellent organisational and administrative skillsAbility to ..... full job details .....
