A growing clean energy organisation who develop innovative, high-performance power systems are seeking a Buyer to play an integral role in the planning and coordination of production and material supply activities.Role: BuyerDuration: 6 month contractPay: Up to 25 p/hr (Inside IR35)Location: LoughboroughWorking Pattern: Fully onsite (40hrs - Early finish Friday)In this role you will manage MRP recommendations, raise purchase orders, monitor supplier commitments and proactively expedite deliveries to minimise supply chain disruption.Key Responsibilities:Running MRP requirements and converting recommendations into purchase ordersRaising, managing and expediting purchase orders to support production demandsChasing supplier deliveries and maintaining accurate supplier commitment datesManaging supply shortages, delays and escalations to ensure continuity of supplyBuilding strong supplier relationships through regular phone and email communicationSupporting purchasing requirements across Production, Engineering, RandD and Service functionsMaintaining accurate ERP data including lead times and supplier informationAssisting with supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement activitiesSupporting inbound shipments and logistics activities where requiredContributing to reporting, planning and supply chain process improvement initiativesYou''ll become a key link between suppliers and internal teams including Production, Engineering, RandD, Service, Finance and Logistics, ..... full job details .....
