      <description>Location: Essex | Salary: &amp;pound;35000/annum | Type: Permanent | This permanent role is part of the Strategic Purchasing team and involves identifying, sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating on RFQs and customer contracts (BoMs). The successful applicant will ensure the timely procurement of materials and components while optimising supplier performance and cost. Strong relationship management skills and a keen eye for commercial opportunities are essential. This role also requires collaboration with internal and external teams to support business goals.   Key Responsibilities:    Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on capability, quality, cost, and delivery criteria.  Issue RFQs, analyse supplier responses, and lead commercial negotiations.  Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define sourcing requirements and ensure supplier alignment.  Manage supplier performance through KPIs (value of awarded packages, cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance).
