      <description>Location: Southampton | Salary: &amp;pound;35000 - &amp;pound;45000/annum | Type: Permanent | A successful manufacturing engineering business require a Buyer to join their Procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships and supporting the efficient flow of materials across the business. The role will require use of MRP/ERP and MS Excel (proficiency with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and formulas preferred).     The Buyer will join a large and supportive procurement team enjoying a period of growth. Procurement activity will focus on direct commodity areas for manufacturing. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, so the Buyer will collaborate closely with the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply to achieve production schedules.        Key Responsibilities of the Buyer include:    Raise and manage purchase orders in line with MRP demand.  Monitor supplier performance and expedite deliveries where required.
