You will be responsible for managing the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods and services into the business to support business requirements. Working within the Supply Chain team to manage several core suppliers, providing a range of engines, drive systems, composites and specialist engineering components. Main Duties: Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner to support demand. Ensuring materials arrive on the purchase order required date Maintenance of Supplier details on the ERP system. Responsible for building solid working relationships with the suppliers Monitoring performance and management of improvements Maintaining a discipline of keeping PO delivery dates current on SAP Qualifications and Experience: Previous buying experience in a manufacturing environment A demonstratable understanding of engineering and manufacturing The ability to read technical drawings and understand technical data.
