We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business for an experienced Buyer to take ownership of purchasing activities across a busy production environment.This is not a role for someone looking to step into purchasing. We are specifically looking for an individual with a strong background in procuring steel, metal components, fabricated parts and engineering materials within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You will be confident negotiating with suppliers, managing lead times and ensuring materials are available to meet demanding production schedules.If you have experience as a Manufacturing Buyer, Senior Buyer, Procurement Specialist or Purchasing Officer within engineering or industrial manufacturing, we''d like to hear from you.The Role As Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing steel, metal components, machined parts, subcontract services and engineering consumables to support production.
