Buyer - Homeware

As a Buyer in the homeware sector, you''ll play a key role in sourcing and selecting products that align with the company''s retail strategy. Based in Pin Mill House Wardley Industrial Estate, you''ll be responsible for managing supplier relationships and ensuring the product range meets customer demand.

This position is with a well-established organisation within the retail industry. As a medium-sized company, they are known for their focus on providing quality products and a rewarding work environment, they have gone through impressive growth over the last 3 years a number of the roles they have recruited for in Buying have been due to growth in ranges and from people progressing in buying roles.

Description

• You the buyer will identify and source new products that align with consumer trends and company objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
• Work cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams to promote products.
• Manage budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure product availability and timely delivery.
• Comply with all relevant industry regulations.
• Manage junior members of your team.
• Provide insightful feedback and reporting to senior management.

Profile

A successful Buyer - Homeware should have:

• Experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally within the retail industry.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proven ability to analyse market trends and sales data.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for homeware products.
