Your new company This Buyer role is based within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment, focusing on sourcing raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods to support production and customer demand. Your new role Source and purchase raw materials, packaging, and consumables in line with production schedules.Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve the best value while maintaining quality.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and responsiveness.Monitor stock levels and manage replenishment to avoid shortages or excess.Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and company policies.Collaborate with production, planning, and logistics teams to align purchasing with operational needs.Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and supplier agreements using ERP systems.What you''ll need to succeed Previous experience in buying or procurement within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similar fast-paced environment.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.CIPS qualification or working towards it.Knowledge of fresh produce supply chains and seasonal sourcing.What you''ll get in return Competitive salaryOpportunities for career development within a growing business.Company ..... full job details .....
