Buyer Expeditor

Our client, a long-established engineering manufacturer, is looking for a Buyer / Expeditor to join their busy Supply Chain Team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you''ll be responsible for purchasing materials and parts, and ensuring on-time delivery to meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for materials and spare parts
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and OTD
• Expedite orders to minimise disruption to production and spares teams
• Manage stock levels, obsolete stock, and maintain min/max levels
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in the Supply Chain Team
• Support the implementation and transition to a new ERP system
• Communicate supply issues promptly to colleagues

What We''re Looking For

• Experience in Buying or Supply Chain within manufacturing or engineering
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• ERP experience - involvement in an implementation is a big plus
• Proactive, energetic, and motivated approach
• Excellent relationship building skills with colleagues and suppliers
• Strong Excel skills

• Salary up to -41,000 + Profit Share Bonus (tax benefits)
