NOTE Basildon is a leading Contract Electronics Manufacturer, providing complete manufacturing solutions to customers across a wide range of industries. We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer to join our Commercial team and help ensure the timely supply of materials and components to support customer and production requirements. The Role As Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing materials and components, managing supplier relationships and ensuring material availability to support production schedules. You''ll play a key role in managing shortages, expediting deliveries, and maintaining accurate purchasing data within our MRP systems. Key responsibilities include: Obtaining and negotiating supplier quotations Raising and managing purchase orders Monitoring MRP messages and material requirements Managing supplier deliveries, reschedules and expedites Supporting production through effective shortage management Monitoring kit readiness and material availability Developing strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships Supporting quotation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
