The Role To negotiate and place purchase orders To meet and approve both new and existing suppliers To support the continuous improvement of supplier performance To ensure the business remain compliant Ensure purchased items are delivered on time, at the correct price, with the correct documentation and to the required standard Procure only from original manufacturers or franchised distributors and have full traceability back to manufacture To carry out purchasing according to specified needs Securing cost reductions wherever possible Maintain adequate stock levels Review methods of reducing cost of purchased parts Progress orders and ensure timely delivery Management of long lead times Working closely with production planning Resolve shortages of products for production Build relations with existing suppliers Obtain commitment from new suppliers Source new products and suppliers where/when required To review in conjunction with QA, supplier performance and define recommende...
