Buyer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled Buyer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring materials and components are delivered on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities:

• Negotiating purchasing contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve the best overall value.

• Reviewing and managing the purchase order system (MRP) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Developing supplier relationships to maintain quality, cost, and delivery performance.

• Working closely with production teams to help maintain stock at planned levels.

• Communicating forecasts and purchase orders clearly and in a timely manner.

• Supporting regular supplier reviews and implementing improvements where required.

• Acting as a key link between engineering, production, finance, and operations teams.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in procurement or buying, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

• Ability to work with MRP systems and knowledge of supply chain and stock management.

• A proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
