Job Title: Buyer
Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday - Office Based
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
The Procurement and Supply Chain division at SF recruitment are recruiting for a Buyer to join their client based in Loughborough. You will be a part of a hard working and fast paced procurement team and report directly into the Procurement Manager.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Supplier management - negotiating costs, lead times, rebates and managing service agreements.
- Attending regular meetings with new and existing suppliers to minimise supply chain risks and identify areas of improvements.
- Placing orders manually and on an ERP system.
- Ensuring all goods are delivered to the highest quality - investigating any damaged/delayed goods.
- Category management
- Carrying out regular market research to ensure you have the in demand products available to provide to your key customers.
We are looking for the successful Buyer to have previous experience either already working within a Buyer/Category Management position, or be looking to take the next step up in your procurement career.
What is essential is that you are confident with:
- Sourcing and processing orders.
- Building rapport at all levels through effective communication skills.
- Negotiating with suppliers.
- Managing and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- IT systems including Excel and internal ERP software.
