Hunters'' client, Capital Hair & Beauty, the UK''s largest independent wholesale supplier to the professional hair & beauty industry, is looking for a driven and commercially astute Buyer / Category Manager - Haircare to lead their high-profile Hair category.
Long established in the industry, with multiple stores across the UK & Ireland, and partnerships with top beauty brands, this is an exciting opportunity to shape one of the business''s most dynamic categories.
 
Buyer / Category Manager The Role
You''ll take ownership of the Haircare category, driving sales and profitability through:

• Strategic planning, pricing, and promotional campaigns
• Assortment management and introducing trending new products
• Supplier negotiations and relationship management
• Analysing sales, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity
• Collaborating across marketing, ecommerce, finance, and replenishment teams
• Leading and developing a small support team

• Previous buying / merchandising experience (category management ideal)
• Knowledge of the hair/beauty industry, or strong transferable experience with genuine interest in the sector
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management and commercial analysis skills
• Strong communicator with leadership experience
• Flexible, detail-focused and solutions-driven
