An established specialist contractor is looking for a Buyer to manage procurement across a portfolio of roofing and cladding projects. Working closely with Project Managers, design teams, site teams and suppliers, you will take ownership of material purchasing from initial enquiry through to final delivery. This is a fast-paced role where strong buying decisions will have a direct impact on project cost, quality and programme. The Role You will be responsible for: Procuring materials, products, plant and equipment across multiple projects Obtaining, analysing and comparing supplier quotations Negotiating prices, lead times and commercial terms Managing both long-lead orders and urgent site requirements Tracking orders and resolving late or failed deliveries Identifying supply-chain risks and proposing alternatives Building strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers Monitoring price movements and maintaining accurate purchasing records Resolving purchase-order, delivery and invoice discrepancies Reading drawings, specifications and material...
