DescriptionThe Business Unit Finance Manager is an integral role which represents finance for the Business Unit’s team and serves as an advocate within the finance organization. The Business Unit Finance Manager acts as business partner to the General Manager and supports to drive and deliver business performance through financial analysis and business acumen. The Business Unit Finance Manager is specifically responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, capital project analysis, revenue and pricing analysis and ad hoc analyses as requested by the General Manager. The Business Unit Finance Manager will work with partners throughout finance and the Business Unit’s leadership team.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Provides accurate and timely financial analysis and insight to business leadership to ensure fully informed decisions
Manages key financial processes for the business unit, including forecasting, budget planning, performance reporting, and others
Develops dashboards and other reports to provide financial insight to the business in a clear and concise manner
Prepares as-needed, finance-related business presentations for key stakeholders
Provides analytical support to sales and marketing for customer pricing and profitability analysis
Provides guidance and analysis of make and buy decisions, capital investments, acquisitions, and commercial agreements
Applies an analytical approach to influence strategic decision-making, with a focus on capital allocation decisions and long-term financial planning
Performs additional duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred
Experience
7-10 years of professional experience, ranging from Commercial, Research, Manufacturing to Accounting and Finance within a global organization
Manufacturing or Chemical industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
Ability to work within a multi-functional, global organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast paced environment
Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessments of situations and opportunities
Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as experience resolving complex business problems with well structured analytics
Displayed high levels of flexibility and adaptability with strong focus of internal and external customers
Displayed bias for action and ability to complete projects
Experience presenting complex materials in a succinct manner to senior executives to drive effective decision making
Proficient in SAP, Adaptive Insights (or similar analytic tool), Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc., and Tableau (or similar)
